Deputy Minister Igor Șarov had a meeting with the director of Moldova Institute Leipzig Klaus Bochmann

Today, May 27, 2015, Deputy Minister of Culture Igor Șarov had an official meeting with Klaus Bochmann, the director of Moldova Institute Leipzig from Germany. Also, Vasile Dumbravă, the vice-director of the Intitute was present at the event.

 

At the beginning of the meeting Deputy Minister of Culture Igor Șarov made a presentation of the Strategy for the Development of Culture "Culture 2020", noting that the main purpose of the Strategy is to ensure a viable cultural environment by creating an appropriate public policy framework that would lead to the functional system formation of conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage, promotion of creativity, development of cultural industries, efficiency of cultural management, improving the life quality of citizens, spirit of tolerance and social cohesion.

 

Also, the official noted that the efforts of the Ministry for the coming years are focused on achieving four strategic objectives, as: safeguarding national cultural heritage in all its diversity, ensuring the real and virtual movements of the cultural product, increasing of economic weight of the cultural sector and creative industries, increasing the contribution of the cultural sector in the social cohesion development.

 

During the meeting, it was discussed the question about digitizing of library funds through investment in the human factor and the necessary equipment, efficiency of the management of cultural institutions by providing experience exchange and taking over the best practices and the creation of the national Center for training in the culture field.

 

Another topic of discussion was the creation of partnerships and facilitating of contacts between cultural organizations from Moldova and Germany under the EU Program "Creative Europe", Moldova acceded to this program on March 2015.

 

Representatives of Moldova Institute Leipzig were interested to continue the dialogue concerning the initiation of projects for various levels of culture development from the Republic of Moldova. In this context, the parties agreed to sign a cooperation Agreement between Moldova Institute Leipzig from Germany and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova, a document that would facilitate launching and supporting of concrete projects from various cultural fields.
