The Agreement between Republic of Moldova and the EU on Moldova's participation in the EU program "Creative Europe" was signed on the 18th of March 2015, in Brussels, by the Minister of Culture of Moldova, Ms. Monica Babuc, and the Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the European Commission, Mr. Tibor Navracsics.
Ms. Monica Babuc said that this is a historical day marked by the most important document in the field of cultural cooperation between Moldova and the European Union. Through this program, all organizations from the cultural sector in Moldova: NGOs, public or private companies, artists will receive funding for their projects and develop partnerships with cultural organizations from the European Union.
The European Commissioner, Mr. Tibor Navracsics showed full support for Moldova's European option and confirmed with confidence that Moldova's participation in this program will enhance the intercultural dialogue with the European Union. Moldova has also a leading role in promoting the cultural dimension in the Eastern Partnership countries.
Moldova became part of the program due to the consultations held between the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Moldova, the Moldovan Mission to the European Union and the Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission.
